It is, and I have every intention of wearing this gorgeous gown I found. Buuuut I don't have a date, this handsome prince I know doesn't even know about it to ask me to it.

Of course I'd ask you now that I know it exists.

[ But Usagi wants to be asked. She enjoys this kind of thing, doesn't she? ]

Are there any traditions I should know about? Dress style? Items to bring?

More formal than Princess D's party, masks, and matching me wouldn't hurt.

[ She really could make any rule, and he would have believed it. ]

Why don't you take Helios with you for shopping! Besides, I know you'll find a perfect outfit for the occasion, you have an excellent sense of fashion! Helios could really use some Prince-and-priest bonding time, I think.

He's probably not had a chance to experience many parties. I'll see if he wants to join me.

You don't need to be thankful. I enjoy spending time with Helios. He's sacrificed everything for a position most won't acknowledge. That's worthy of respect.

I don't need anything large. [ Mamoru is secretly 70 years old. ] Something quiet, with you, would be enough.

I'm thankful every day that you're here, regardless of the why. But I'm extra thankful about you being a sweetheart and amazing.

When we become King and Queen, I've already got a list of things that are gonna change, starting with making sure Pluto, Helios, Neptune, Uranus, and Saturn all get to enjoy being around all of us as much as they want.

Just the two of us? I can make it a romantic getaway if you want?

[ All of her suggestions are so kind. It warms his heart to know that one day, she'll rule. It'll likely be a difficult transition, but her kindness will lead the way. ]

I agree. Allowing certain people to be separated has caused problems already, and I don't want our world to be one of seperation.

Do you think... we have to let the future happen the way we saw it? We have to let Death Phantom live and the Black Moon clan attack? I don't want... to repeat the future.

[She didn't mean to make such a nice conversation, suddenly so heavy, but she can talk to Mamoru about anything.]

A trip then, just you and me and a spa where we can be all alone.

I think it's crucial that we learn from our past or, in our case, the future.

[ They have to have these kinds of conversations in the future. Ruling will require deep, important discussions, and Mamoru wants Usagi to know she can trust him with anything. ]

We made the best decisions we knew how to make, but we can learn from those mistakes before they ever have to happen.

I don't think I could allow the same things to happen again.

You know, there's something I was wondering... Chibiusa traveled to the past, and she... changed everything, but what if she didn't? What if she had traveled to the past before? I mean, in the future- or... ugh I hate time travel.

But she came into the past... and then our future selves... let her stay. So... what if that meant she was supposed to go into the past?

[She sighs and rubs her face, her frustration over the whole thing easily felt.]

I don't... Mamo-chan, I don't want to make the mistakes they made! I don't want Chibiusa growing up feeling like she's not our child, I don't want Pluto stuck guarding the door like she's a secret that can't be known, I don't... I WON'T let those mistakes happen again.

[ Reaching out, he rests his hands on her slender shoulders. Mamoru understands where her worry comes from, and they're legitimate concerns. ]

We'll shower her with all the love we have. [ And both of them have more than enough love to share. ] We'll make sure our daughter knows that no matter what her destiny may be, she's special. The same goes for our friends. No one will be left in solitude. Even if we tried before and failed, we can only keep trying. A future failure doesn't have to be repeated, no matter how many times it's been repeated before.

Well, I have you to keep me on the right path.

We have each other. Before, the Moon and the Earth kept us separated. We were reborn on the same planet. I can't say why we allowed everybody to stay isolated, but maybe we need to see the results of our mistakes so that we can be firm in what we decide. Having seen what we've seen, we know we won't repeat the actions of our future selves.

The future is what we make it, and I choose, forever and ever to spend it with you and all our loved ones.
